What are the requirements of the electromagnetic flowmeter for the installation environment

1. The choice of sensor installation environment

The protection level of the electromagnetic flowmeter sensor housing is generally ip65 (the housing protection level is dustproof and water-proof), and the main requirements for the installation environment:

(1) The sensor should be installed in a dry and ventilated place, avoid damp and flooded places, and should also try to avoid direct sunlight and direct rain;

(2) Avoid installing in places where the ambient temperature is too high as much as possible. The electromagnetic flowmeter with integrated structure is also subject to the environmental temperature of electronic components, which is lower;

(3) There should be no strong leakage current in the pipeline where the sensor is installed, and it should be as far away as possible from equipment with strong electromagnetic fields, such as large electromechanical devices, large transformers, etc., to avoid electromagnetic field interference;

(4) There should be no strong vibration in the pipeline or ground where the sensor is installed, especially the integrated instrument;

(5) The place where the sensor is installed should consider the space for on-site maintenance by the staff.

Second, the choice of the installation environment of the electromagnetic flowmeter converter

The converter is used as an on-site installation instrument for on-site instructions, and its installation place should generally be selected:

The ambient temperature is between -10~45℃;

The relative humidity of the air is ≤85%;

There is no strong vibration at the installation site;

The surrounding air does not contain corrosive gas;

The converter should be installed indoors as much as possible. When installed outdoors, measures to prevent sun and rain should also be taken.

3.The electromagnetic flowmeter has the following requirements for the installation site:

1. When measuring mixed-phase fluids, choose a place that will not cause phase separation; when measuring two-component liquids, avoid installing them downstream where the mixing is not yet uniform; when measuring chemical reaction pipelines, install them downstream of the fully completed section of the reaction.

Try to satisfy that the front and rear straight pipe sections are not less than 5d and 2d respectively;

2. It is easy to realize the place where the sensor is separately grounded;

3. Avoid high-concentration corrosive gases in the surrounding environment as much as possible;

4. Try to avoid the negative pressure in the measuring tube;

5. Avoid large motors, large transformers, etc. nearby, so as not to cause electromagnetic field interference;

6. Choose a place with low vibration, especially for integrated instruments;

7. Avoid direct sunlight as much as possible.

Four, the installation suggestion of electromagnetic flowmeter:

The measurement principle of the electromagnetic flowmeter does not depend on the characteristics of the flow rate. Irrelevant.

If there is a steady-state eddy current in the measurement area, it will affect the stability and accuracy of the measurement. At this time, some measures should be taken to stabilize the flow velocity distribution:

a. Increase the length of the front and rear straight pipe sections

b. A flow stabilizer for the meter

c. Reduce the cross section of the measuring point.
