Vortex flowmeters have been widely used in various fields. 1. The installation site should not have strong vibration or strong magnetic field interference:

Pipeline vibration caused by pumps or valves will cause measurement errors, and even affect the normal measurement of the instrument in severe cases. Pipe fastening devices must be installed at 2D upstream and downstream to support the pipes or isolate them with hoses to enhance the anti-seismic effect.

 

2. Avoid the direct influence of high temperature heat sources and refraction sources:

Insulation ventilation must be installed. When measuring high-temperature media such as steam, thermal insulation treatment should be performed to prevent the converter from being overheated to ensure that the outer casing of the flowmeter is exposed so that heat can be radiated to the outside, preventing the high temperature of the electronic components of the instrument from affecting the life of the flowmeter.

 

3. Avoid high temperature environment and strong corrosive gas environment:

If it must be installed, there must be ventilation measures.

 

4. Explosion-proof vortex flow sensors and transmitters are installed in hazardous locations:

Safety barrier, display instrument, power supply, computer and other related equipment must be installed in a safe place. The flowmeter and transmitter should be reliably grounded, and the explosion-proof ground wire should not be shared with the protective grounding of the strong current system.

 

5. The vortex flowmeter should try to avoid being installed on the long overhead pipeline:

Due to the sagging of the pipeline, it is easy to cause leakage of the seal between the flowmeter and the flange. If it must be installed, pipeline support points must be set at the upstream and downstream 2D of the flowmeter.

 

6. Vortex meters are best installed in indoor environments:

When installed outdoors, attention should be paid to waterproof, sun-proof and moisture-proof, and the oil protective cover should be shaded. Special attention should be paid to bending the cable into a U shape at the electrical interface to prevent water from entering the amplifier housing along the cable.

 

7. The vortex flowmeter should be avoided to be installed near the valve outlet:

Otherwise, the opening and closing of the valve will affect the life of the flowmeter, and in severe cases, the flowmeter will be damaged. In order to facilitate maintenance, bypass pipes should be installed, especially in some occasions where the fluid cannot be stopped in the middle of the production process.

 

8. It is necessary to ensure that the medium in the pipeline is in a full state:

The flowmeter is installed on a horizontal or vertical pipeline. If it is installed on a vertical pipeline, the liquid to be measured must flow from bottom to top.

 

9. The flow regulating valve should not be set upstream of the flow meter:

Instead, place the flow regulating valve downstream of the flow meter.

 

10. The vortex meter has certain requirements for the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections of the installation point:
