Calculate the installation distance and determine the probe installation position:

Enter the basic parameters of the pipeline into the instrument according to the requirements of the ultrasonic flowmeter manual, and then select the probe installation method to get the probe installation distance;

If it is on a horizontal pipeline, The middle of the pipeline should be selected to avoid the top and bottom (the top may contain bubbles, and the bottom may have sediments such as dirt);

V method installation: first determine one point, and measure another point in a horizontal position according to the installation distance. Z method installation: first determine a point, measure another point in the horizontal position according to the installation distance, and then measure the symmetrical point of this point on the other side of the pipeline.

2. How to deal with the surface of the probe installation pipeline:

After determining the probe position, use angle grinders, files, sandpaper and other tools to polish the pipeline to a bright, smooth, and non-corrosive pit within ±100mm of the two installation points. Grinding effect requirements: uniform gloss, no undulations, smooth and round hand feeling. Special attention should be paid to that the polishing point must have the same arc as the original pipeline. The installation point must be polished to a flat surface, and the area must be cleaned with alcohol or gasoline to facilitate the bonding of the probe.

Wiring of probe and instrument:Connect the probe and the host with the original cable as required, and the distance between the probe and the host should not be too long, and must meet the requirements.

Probe position adjustment: Fill the inside of the probe with silica gel after connecting the wire, leave it for half an hour, and then fix the probe on the polished pipe with silica gel and clamps (pay attention to the direction of the probe, the lead end is outward), no clamps Fix too tightly. Observe the ratio of the signal strength of the instrument to the transmission time. If there is any problem, adjust the probe position slightly until the signal of the instrument reaches the specified range: (Signal strength: generally should be greater than 60, a few can be based on site specific Circumstances are determined separately.) (Transmission time ratio: within the range of 100±3, this value must be stable.)

5. Fixed probe: After the instrument signal is adjusted, use the fixture to fix the probe, and pay attention to the wire rope not to tilt. In order to avoid pulling the probe, causing the probe to shift, then use silica gel to seal the surrounding area where the probe is in contact with the pipe. Generally, it takes about one day for the glue to solidify. Before it dries, you must pay attention to the waterproof of the probe (the outer shield of the signal line must be reliably grounded).
