Installation of vortex flowmeter

First of all, in order to ensure the accuracy of the data and achieve better measurement results, we need to pay attention to some matters before installation to make the flowmeter better installed.

Pulse vortex flowmeter

1. The flowmeter can be installed indoors or outdoors. The outdoor installation should be protected to prevent the external environment from corroding the flowmeter body.

2. The vortex flowmeter can be installed horizontally or vertically. When installed vertically, the fluid needs to be from bottom to top in order to achieve the best measurement results.

3. The flowmeter should be installed in places where the magnetic field is relatively large, the radiation is strong, the space is small, and the maintenance is inconvenient to reduce external interference.

4. When the measuring medium contains more impurities, a filter should be added to prevent impurities from adhering to the sensor during long-term operation and affecting the normal operation of the flowmeter.

5. The installation position of the flowmeter should avoid strong vibration, and if necessary, add a fixing device at the 2d of the flowmeter.

6. Avoid installing a valve before the flowmeter. If required by the process, install it after the flowmeter.

7. When a valve is installed in front of the flowmeter, try to reduce the number of times the valve is opened and closed. When the air pressure is too high and the flow rate is too high, the instantaneous impact will cause irreversible damage to the internal sensor and the triangle column.

8. Sufficient straight pipe sections are required before and after the flowmeter, generally the first 10d and the last 8d.

9. Avoid installing the flowmeter on a very long overhead horizontal pipeline. When the overhead pipeline is long, under the action of gravity, the flange connection of the flowmeter will be deformed, which is prone to air leakage, air leakage and other failures.

Next is our highlight, the installation of the vortex flowmeter.

(1) The general requirements for the front and rear straight pipe sections of the vortex flowmeter are: the front 20D, the rear 5D (D is the inner diameter of the connected process pipe), and the valve is generally designed on the downstream side of the flowmeter.

(2) When the flowmeter is installed at the outlet of the compressor, blower, or plunger pump, a valve must be installed on the upstream side of the flowmeter. In this case, in order to ensure the measurement accuracy of the flowmeter, the length of the upstream straight pipe is not less than In addition to 20D, it is best to install a current limiting or buffer device on the upstream side。
