Additionally, turbine flow meters specify very small and very large linear flow rates to ensure that the response is linear and to meet other specifications. In order to obtain a good adjustable range, it is recommended to size the turbine flowmeter so that the very large flow applied is approximately 70% to 80% of the maximum capacity of the flowmeter. Another point is that changes in temperature can affect the viscosity of the fluid passing through the turbine flowmeter, thereby affecting the accuracy of the flowmeter. Therefore, the medium temperature must be determined.
