This selection process requires careful consideration of parameters such as the characteristics of the fluid being measured, the pipe diameter, and the pressure rating.

The selection steps are outlined as follows:

 

1. Identify the Measurement Medium: Determine its conductivity and corrosiveness.

 

2. Determine Pipe Diameter and Connection Method: Specify the pipe size and the connection type (flange, threaded, or clamp).

 

3. Determine Pressure Rating: Specify the required pressure class.

 

4. Select Flowmeter Sensor Materials: Choose the sensor body material (Carbon Steel, SS304, SS316), liner material, and electrode material.

 

5. Select Structural Type: Choose the configuration (Integrated, Remote/Split, or Insertion type).

 

6. Select Power Supply Method: Choose from available options (85V–245VAC, 24VDC, 12VDC, Battery-powered, or Solar-powered).

 

Note: If solar power is selected, a 12VDC configuration is required.

 

Battery power options include: ⑴. standard battery power, ⑵. battery power + pulse output, ⑶. battery power + RS485 communication, ⑷. battery power + HART protocol, ⑸,  220 VAC + battery power + 4–20 mA output.

 

7. Determine Protection Rating: Specify the required IP rating (IP65, IP66, IP67, or IP68).

Determine Explosion-proof Rating: Specify the required hazardous area classification.

 

8. Specify Additional Accessories: Include items such as grounding rings, mating flanges, connection cable length, etc.
