2. Selection requirements for wastewater flowmeters:
★ Pipe diameter (unit: mm):
The pipe diameter (DN) value must be accurately measured and determined, which directly determines whether the electromagnetic flowmeter can be correctly and completely installed on the pipe. Different pipe diameters also have a great impact on the final cost of the instrument, so the diameter of the pipe to be used must be determined first when selecting.
★ Properties of the measured fluid:
First, confirm the characteristics of the measured medium, whether it is corrosive, if it is corrosive, whether it is acidic or alkaline, it is best to have pH data, and whether the fluid contains solid particles and suspended matter, so as to select the most suitable lining material and electrode material.
★ Output signal:
The standard equipment (220VAC/24VDC power supply) has pulse output, 4-20Ma output, RS485 communication protocol, and Hart protocol can be selected. If it is battery-powered, it is standard without output, and it can be selected if necessary, so please clarify the type of output signal when selecting.
★ Installation form:
Electromagnetic flowmeters are mainly available in three installation forms: integrated, split, and plug-in. The integrated type is usually used. If a split or plug-in type is required, it should be specified in advance for easy selection.
★ Other parameters:
Other parameters mainly include accuracy level, material, temperature, pressure, power supply form, and other special requirements of customers for the instrument.
