The principle and scope of use of the instrument:

 

The electromagnetic water flowmeter is a device that uses the principle of Faraday's electromagnetic induction law to measure the instantaneous flow and cumulative flow of conductive liquid passing through the pipeline. Due to its high measurement accuracy, high stability and reliability, various communications, and many other advantages, it can be connected to a variety of control equipment and is widely used in various industries such as water supply, chemical industry, food, and pharmaceuticals.

 

The instrument consists of a converter and a sensor consisting of two coils placed at right angles to each other. When fluid flows through a pipe, a voltage is generated that is proportional to the flow rate. The voltage is then measured via an electromagnetic sensor and the flow rate is calculated.

 

Main advantage one: It is not affected by the flow pressure, temperature and viscosity of the liquid being measured. The device is also easy to install and maintain, has a long lifespan and requires little maintenance or calibration.

Lining material selection:

The lining selection of the magnetic flowmeter is very important. It is necessary to select the most suitable lining material according to the characteristics of the medium being measured, which is the key to ensuring the working stability, accuracy and service life of the instrument equipment. A brief introduction to the following most commonly used lining materials:

Rubber lining:

 

Application range: 0℃-80℃ non-strong acid, strong alkali, strong oxidizing medium. It can measure weakly abrasive media, water, river water, irrigation water, wastewater, sewage, paper pulp and mud and other conductive liquids.

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE):

 

Scope of application: -25 degrees to 140 degrees, strongly corrosive substances such as concentrated acid and concentrated alkali, and sanitary media such as drinking water, milk, beer, and beverages.

Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (F46):

 

Scope of application: -25 degrees to 100 degrees non-strong abrasive media, sanitary media.

Electrode material classification:

The electrode selection of magnetic water flowmeter is very important. It is necessary to select the most suitable electrode material according to the characteristics of the liquid to be measured, such as sanitary liquid, water, containing acid and alkali, and the liquid contains solid particles (select wear-resistant materials). The following are the most commonly used electrode materials:

1.Molybdenum-containing stainless steel (316L):

 
A:Scope of application: milk, beverages, beer and other food-grade liquids, industrial water, irrigation water, sewage, inorganic acids, weakly corrosive media, etc.

2.Stainless Steel Coated Tungsten Carbide:

 
A: It is suitable for media that are non-corrosive, highly wear-resistant, and contain impurities and small solid particles in the liquid.

3.Hastelloy electrode:

 

A: It has good corrosion resistance to all concentrations of hydrochloric acid below the boiling point, and is also resistant to corrosion by non-oxidizing acids, alkali and non-oxidizing salt solutions such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid and organic acids. Corrosion by hypochlorite solution and seawater above normal temperature.

4.Titanium (Ti):

 

A: Resistant to corrosion by seawater, various chlorides and hypochlorites, oxidizing acids (including fuming nitric acid), organic acids, alkali, etc.

5.Tantalum (Ta):

 

A: It has excellent corrosion resistance and is resistant to corrosion by almost all chemical media (including boiling point hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, aqua regia and sulfuric acid below 175 degrees). It is not resistant to corrosion in alkali.

 

Calibration time and calibration points:

 

All our flowmeters undergo one-to-one verification before leaving the factory to ensure 100% factory qualification rate.

 

Each measurement time should be no less than the shortest measurement time allowed by the device, and the shortest time should generally be no less than 30s, and for Class A instruments (electromagnetic flowmeters with frequency output, plug-in electromagnetic flowmeters with frequency output) should be Ensure that the absolute value of the relative error of the number of pulses output by the flow meter in a calibration is not greater than 1/3 of the repeatability of the flow meter being tested.

 

The calibration points when evaluating the performance of the instrument are generally stipulated as follows: For Class A instruments, the calibration points should include qmin, 0.07qmax, 0.15qmax, 0.25qmax, 0.4qmax, 0.7qmax and qmax. When the flow rate of the latter few calibration points is less than qmin, This calibration point can be ignored. For Class B instruments (referring to electromagnetic flowmeters that output analog signals or can directly display instantaneous flow), the calibration points should include at least 5 verification points including qmin and qmax, and be evenly distributed.
